Medal of Honor Vol. 1: Alvin York

October 1918: Alvin York was part of a small patrol fighting behind enemy lines during the Meuse-Argonne campaign of World War I. Suddenly a German machine gun brought down most of his platoon. York assumed command of the seven surviving Americans, took out the machine-gun nest, and captured 132 German soldiers. Corporal York was soon awarded sergeant's stripes--and a Medal of Honor.

One hundred years later, the Association of the United States Army recognizes this remarkable act of valor with the release of MEDAL OF HONOR: ALVIN YORK. This full-color digital graphic novel--created by a talented team drawn from the world of professional comic book publishers--shows how a reluctant hero became one of America's most celebrated soldiers.
